Allied Filter Systems has now launched a polyester high efficiency filter bag.
The high efficiency filter bag product range was previously only available in polypropylene, and is limited to use at temperatures under 100oC. The polyester high efficiency bag can be used at temperatures in excess of 140oC and perform to efficiencies of upto 99.98% at the stated micron rating (1-25 micron available). The product also meets EC directives governing plastics in contact with food, and is now being widely used in applications requiring absolute filtration at high temperature, which previously was only available using expensive cartridge filtration.
