Allied Filter looks to reduce carbon footprint with solar panel installation

With renewable energy becoming more and more important, and with the energy market being so volatile, we have taken a significant step to offset carbon emissions and soaring energy costs by installing solar panels at our site in Irlam.

In total we have installed 188 panels, spanning a 367m2 area. This will provide a peak power output of 77 kWp and will generate >66,000 kWh per year for us. Not only that, but it will offset more than 17,800 Kg/per year of CO2 emissions, reinforcing our ethos that environmental management is amongst our highest priorities.

“The large installation of solar panels at our Irlam headquarters and production site is another significant step towards our commitment of reducing our carbon footprint, whilst offsetting some of the inflationary pressures of the current energy market”, says Managing Director, Daniel Thompson.
